In 2003, thirty community organizations and faith groups formed a coalition to support the founding of Faith in Action: Elder
Outreach in
In the summer
of 2007, Faith in Action began training volunteers and providing services in Scott County thanks to a grant from Toyota.
Currently we are providing over 1000 hours of free services a month to older adults and their families in Fayette and
Recipients of our services represent the racial and interfaith diversity of the
Lexington-Fayette and
Over 20,000 hours of service have been provided by volunteers to date.
Over 50 faith communities are currently involved with Faith in Action.
The value of our services to the community is expected to be over $300, 000 per year.
